Dungeon Diving One

Hello Everyone,

Reviving this blog because I found another use for it.

Today I managed to grab hold of Zi Yuan (Leonard), Lutfi and Hao Jian and made them come over to my place and have a quick game of Dungeons and Dragons, although Lutfi just sat far away, trying to study 13 chapters. (He only managed to study only half of a chapter.) But at least he managed to give us moral support and the occasional laughs.

Anyway.
Before starting our adventure, me and Zi Yuan helped Hao Jian create a character to represent him in the magical world of Dungeons and Dragons. He created a Half-Elf Paladin and named it "Jesus Heian", a name in which he insisted greatly on. Half-Elfs are mixtures of Humans and Elfs, therefore the name "Jesus", a human name and "Heian", an Elf name. And on the "Appearance" section, he almost wanted to put Malay features for his character.
What the hell right?

Me and Zi Yuan had already created our characters beforehand. Mine was a godly Deva Avenger that goes by the name of "Tsoltan", and Zi Yuan made a ferocious Dragonborn Sorcerer called "Grunt". And this is where the adventure starts.

The story will be narrated by the characters point of view, not us, the players point of view. AND YEAH THERES NO SCHOOL TOMORROW.

So the back-story goes like this:
Grunt, who is Zi Yuan's character, was escorting a merchant from Fallcrest to another town.
Fallcrest was a noob town for low level players to rest and stock up, much like Lumbridge in Runescape. Along the way, the pair was ambushed by goblins and the merchant's box was stolen from him. Witnessing the overwhelming horde of goblins, Grunt and the merchant returned to Fallcrest to look for other heroes who are willing to help Grunt acquire the lost merchant's box.

And that is when Grunt met Tsoltan (Me) and Jesus (Hao Jian) in an inn at Fallcrest. Tsoltan, being a Deva, divine beings who believed strongly in justice and order, were disguisted at the actions of the foul goblins and immediately volunteered after listening to Grunt's dilema. Jesus, although also a holy warrior, just wanted to join for the fun of it. Heck there might be some coins in the pockets of dead goblins. "Ah what the heck, as long as a can level up." Certainly the right attitude for a warrior of divinity.

So Grunt, Tsoltan and Jesus, left the town of Fallcrest at dawn on the next day and headed out to the goblin lair. Halfway through their journey, the trio came across a crossroad that was shadowed by a nearby crumbling tower which only half of its original height remained. The ruins of the the other upper half littered around the gloomy tower, overgrown by ferns and moss.

It was at that instant when they heard low growls coming from the trio's sides and a mad laugh that came in the direction of the tower. The sources of a growls revealed themselves as wolves as they appeared behind large rocks that were at both sides of the road. Two wolves. A goblin appeared from behind the tower and the adventurers knew straight-away who the irritating laugh came from. Jesus' hand reached for his battle-ax that was sheathed at his back as Tsoltan pushed aside his cloak to draw his eastern-designed Scimitar from his jewelled scabbared. Grunt released a roaring cry that in a way empowered all three of them while ribbons of arcane energies danced about his hands. All three prepped up for death, the monsters unfortunate and inevitable death.

This is where thing started to get pathetic.

Jesus was the first to act, clad in chainmail and holding his battle-ax over his head, he dashed straight for the nearest wolf and sunk the blade of his blessed ax into the torso of the wolf. That powerful swing would have impaled a wolf to death, but this wolf was not any normal wolf. The wolf were of monsterous breeds, more muscular and tougher than of any natural wolf. It did some damage but the wolf still stood.

Grunt turned to the other wolf, and aimed a charged ball of energy towards the second wolf. He released the pulsing ball of magics towards the second wolf, but he missed. Tsoltan, feelling all glorious and heroic, charged for the goblin, who obviously was the coordinator of the ambush, with the intention of finishing of the leader quickly. But he obliviously put himself in between the second wolf and the goblin coordinator found himself in deep shit. He was being flanked, by the wolf and the goblin.

Being only at level 1, Tsoltan desperately tried to fend of the bites of the wolf and crooked blade of the goblin. Grunt, seeing his comrade in a pinch, aimed and fired several magical bolts on the wolf. Sadly, all his bolts were wide and way off target and soon, Tsoltan found himself kissing the brown dirt of the ground, hands clutching deep wounds.

By this time, Jesus, the armoured holy warrior, had killed the first wolf . With quick battle-prayer and a swing fueled by divine vigour, Jesus impaled his glowing battle-ax into the the stomach of the monstrous wolf. The monster held its ground, but as he pulled his ax out of the bleeding wolf, he could tell that the animal was now weak. Jesus followed up with a less elaborate attack, as a prayer was not uttered when he dropped the ax-blade on the skull of the wolf killing the monster. As he pulled out his bloodied battle-ax, Jesus muttered a quick prayer for the animal, and a golden "125 XP gained" appeared above his head. But the Paladin did not turn away from the battle without a scratched. He was wound head to toe by bites in which he could not fend off. He turned to check on the other two and was shocked to see Tsoltan crawling towards him with hands pressing on wounds and Grunt backing towards him, as he attempted to charge another icy magic bolt.
Jesus sighed.

The situation only got worse, although Tsoltan managed to crawl to Jesus and stop his bleeding, the remaining wolf and goblin closed in to surround Grunt. The paladin noticed it and uttered a warding prayer to protect the Sorcerer. A golden shield which seemed to be made entirely of light appeared at the front of Grunt. At least his front was safe. The wolf walked up towards Grunt, dodging another magical missile, growling as if mocking the clumsy sorcerer who was missing every shot right from the start.

The daft goblin inched behind Grunt, with his scarred, green back facing Jesus. What a fool. The paladin took the opportunity to make a crushing blow with his ax which struck the fool of the goblin at his ribs, instantly sending the goblin to its doom. The wolf turned towards the unexpected attack on his goblin master. Tsoltan, noticing the wolf distracted, gathered everything was left of his strength and pounced on the wolf stretching his sword arm, aiming his decorated Scimitar at the wolf's neck. The Deva was not sure if would even reach the wolf, considering his wounds and weakness, but then he felt his jab coming to a rude stop and he fell into the mud, only hoping he did not struck Grunt by mistake That would be embarrassing.

Tsoltan opened his eyes, and saw Grunt sitting upright on the ground, he scanned for any injuries he might have caused but found none. But what was the jerk he felt? He turned to his right while still lying down on the floor and found fangs right in front of his face. He shrieked, for level 1 characters are scaredy-cats. But something was wrong, the wolf was not moving. As his eyes focused he noticed a familiar fancy scimitar sticking out of the wolf's throat. "Hey that's my sword!" Tsoltan have a sigh of relief as he turned away from the dead wolf. Jesus approached the wolf and offered a quick prayer.

Now is a good time to remind you guys that their quest was to raid a dungeon and retrieve the the merchant's box. But they were no where near any dungeon and already they were dying. So all of them decided to turn back to Fallcrest to recover from their wounds and stock up on healing potions. Grunt picked up Tsoltan with one hand and flung him over his mighty shoulder. The Deva shrieked a loud painful curse, then immediately regretted his outburst and uttered a quick prayer of forgiveness. Jesus was just glad he did not have to carry the large Deva. And they all headed back to Fallcrest.

This is the end of the story. All this took about 15 minutes in game time, but 45 minutes in real-time. And yes, all this epicness came from a table-top rpg game. This is what Dungeons and Dragons is about.

So if you want to experience this epic adventure, feel free to express your interest and my pals and I will create a level 1 character for you to start you off.

And Lutfi? Lutfi just sat at the dining table, studying and watching his J-Rock bands. But like I said, at least he was there for moral support!

Stuck Outside

Ah,

Back from school, end of my first test and looking forward to a nap and a productive study session. So there I was, riding the lift up to my apartment when I realised that I forgot the keys to my front door. And to make it worse, my mobile phone died on me. So basically, locked out of my own home with no means of communication. Unless I burn stuff and make smoke signals.

I leaned against the front door, deciding on my next move. Then I thought, what were neighbours for? So I made my way over to my neighbour's house, hoping that he would be at home. He should, since he's in JC, and they're having their holidays right now.

But.

He wasn't home. I knew it straight away because, if he was home, I'd hear gunshots and explosions coming from his house, obviously too engrossed in his video game to even bother about his neighbour's peace. But I didn't hear all that at all.

There I was, right in front of another empty apartment, deciding on my next course of action. That's when I thought, heck, lets get some lunch.

It was a short walk from my neighbour's apartment to the local coffee shop. Thank goodness the weather was shady today, or I'd melt into a puddle from all that walking.

The coffee shop was rather empty, well naturally since it was a workday. The only patrons there were senior citizens who spend their days relaxing and reminiscing on their glory days. (Actually I thought that crap up, I don't even know what old people do at coffee shops).
It was rather awkward, you don't see many teenagers hanging out at neighbourhood coffee shops much. I got a table with a view of the road and ordered myself some nasi lemak to make my patronage official.

Lonely on a lazy afternoon, I could use some company. Unfortunately the only company I got were flies that were trying to take a hit on my food. Bad company is better than no company sadly. That was how miserable I felt. To make it worse, studying was the only form of entertainment I had. Can you imagine? Me, forced to enjoy studying? I didn't really enjoy it.

With my lunch done, I proceeded under my void deck to wait for any of my family members to come home. I settled myself down on table and proceeded on taking out my notes. Yeah, forced to study again. Armed with a packet of crackers and some notes, I got down to studying. I never really did get anything in my head.

What was that in the corner of my eye? Oh it's just a bird.

That was when I had a fabulous idea. I've always wanted to do this since I was a kid. And that was, feeding the pigeons! At first there was one, then another came. The more I fed them, the more of them came. It wasn't long before I realised they were all around me. I felt like a king! 'The Lord of Pigeons'. How corny is that?

I was the Lord of Pigeons for at least forty-five minutes before my father and brother drove into the carpark. It signaled the passing of the Lord of Pigeons, and I was not ruler of the lands anymore.

I was finally saved from my endless wander, finally in the comfort of my own palace (which is just a metaphor, I live in an apartment). So have I learnt my lesson? Probably not. I foresee many more grand adventures in the future, because I know I'll forget my keys again. And when I do, I'll probably do the same thing again: Neighbour, Coffee Shop, Lord of Pigeons.

(I called my neighbour afterwards, turns out, he was at home all along! Cooped up in his room playing online games. Just great.)

A Trip Down To Ikea

Good evening folks.

Please don't let my blog die people.

Anyway,
I'm going to tell you about my shopping trip to Ikea (Tampines). Went there with my dad, he wanted to look for a CD-rack.

Ikea recent had undergone a revamp, a total rearrangement of the whole store. Everything looked so new, but I doubt it'll last. The last time I went there, the concept displays were falling apart. Probably just doing it for the new year.

Ikea is great, its like a furniture design gallery. There was a picture of a table, ah I should've taken a picture of it. Anyway, that table was really cool, the chairs fit under it snugly.

I don't care, I'm going back there and I'm gonna take a picture of it!

Oh and their storage racks never cease to amaze me everytime I go there. It's so cool, and scary at the same time. It feels like as if one of their crates is going to fall on me, and crush my body.

In the end, we bought a plastic bag holder thingy and some clothes hangar.

Ikea is great when you want to get some ideas for spaces around your home, or when you need some inspiration to revamp your crib.

A Dream Once Again

Hello everyone.

You may have read my previous post about my dream with Anil Kapoor in it. Scroll down if you haven't.

Just came back from Malaysia. Doing a post on that in a while.

But now I'm going to share a dream I had last night. I don't know why, but this dream really affected me alot. Probably because it won't happen?

So anyway. The dream is about this girl. She really exists and I do know her in real life. (My moms boss daughter, I'm sure some of you know who I'm referring to)
She don't come up to my blog that often, so its safe. Actually, I'm not even sure anyone does.

So her mom was trying to look for a book for me, she works in a library. But she can't find it. So her daughter, the Girl, decided to wait with me. I wanted to hold her hand, but I stopped myself. But she noticed it and grabbed my hand instead.

We went on an adventure around the library. Meeting exotic tribesmen, to encountering extict animals. Its a dream! Anything can happen!
We had so much fun in that dream, I'm sure we were in love.

But nah, I don't think that'll happen. No matter how much I want it to.

Rather sad, typing this post out. But I really want to remember this dream, thats why I posted it here.

Started On A Bad Note

Zafir here again with another glamorous post.

Like the title says, today started on a really bad note.
Why?
Okay, the night before, I planned my outfit mentally before I went to bed. But the next day, I found out that the clothes I planned to wear was still in the washing machine!

Disaster!

I ended up wearing clothes that didn't really match. But ehh... I think I was just being too vain.

Oh and I was late for school though.
But friends at school cheered me up, although they didn't know I was in a bad mood.

Something also happened at the Business school staircase today, the staircase behind the two lifts. When we opened the door to the staircase, wind suddenly gushed through! It was like a mini-hurricane within the flight of stairs.
It turned out to be just the ventillation.

But this morning was really cold and windy. A good excuse for Singaporeans to wear jacket-type clothes.

After school ended, I went to the hair salon to get a haircut at Arches, White Sands, Pasir Ris. Alcie and Zana came along too. Alcie even decided to get a wash and dry.
I was supposed to get a haircut on Thursday, but I forgot that my stylist, Andy's off day was on that day.

It was just a simple wash and cut. He did a better job the last time Andy gave me a haircut, but this haircut is cool too.

Before the haircut, yes I know, eww. Reading a fashion mag.

After the haircut, Zana, Alcie and I went to the KFC. Alcie, well, it was kinda a bad day for her. Not gonna share it here. But we had a good time I'm sure they would agree too.

Friday started off bad, but it ended off quite good.

Moral of the story: Eventhough skies may look dull, eventually the sun will shine through.

An overdue blog post yet again, by me.

Yesterday (6 Dec 10) was a cool day.
It was a Monday, and my class have a 3-hour recess on Mondays. I know right? Three hours, for a lunch break? Madness.

But that Monday was also my friend, Shaun's, birthday. He's 17 this year.

Three hours gave us enough time for me and my pals to take a bus ride to Tampines Mall and get ourselves a quick birthday lunch, at Swensens. What the hell.

Service there was bad that day, might as well not pay the freaking service charge. At least they helped us take a photo. One waitress would just put our food on one side of the table, even when we told her where she should put the dishes. She didn't even budge when my friend told her to come over to pass the food to him.
Common sense please.

But at least we got a free ice-cream from Swensens for Shaun's birthday. We showed them his IC and got one free ice-cream, with a tiny candle on it!

We went our own ways after lunch. Some of us went home, others had their own errands, but me and Wilson, being the good students we are, went back to school for more boring lectures.

And that was Shaun's birthday lunch.

Charizard I Choose You

Evening everone.

Zafir here once again with another funtastic post.

I'm going to tell you about yesterday (5 Dec 10).

That day, that Saturday is probably going to be one of the most memorable days in the whole of my Polytechnic life.

That day was the I-Guides day camp.

It was actually supposed to be over two days, Friday and Saturday, but I only came on Saturday.

What is I-Guides? We're event coordinators, for the whole of Temasek Polytechnic. We help conduct events and stuff. Basically the people you see at TP events, wearing matching tops.

Oh Saturday was great. I was from Ceron empire. But we had to merge with Coraz in the end. We merged, and evolved into CHARIZARD!

RAWR!

Charizard was our new empire name, along with the other two empires, Pikachu and Team Rocket/Snorlax.

Ah Charizard was pure awesome. Full of awesome people, led by the most awesome FAs. We bonded realy quickly, with our team mates and FAs. We're the perfect combo. Everone loved each other and weren't afraid to show it. Some loved each other more, *ahem*, you know what I mean. (Just kidding)

But the whole of I-Guides is one team, no matter what.

It only rained heavily in the morning, but we were wet the whole day (except the girls, grrr). The whole day was filled with wet activities, and with our own FAs sabo-ing us by soaking all of us.

*Note to FAs: Don't worry, we'll get back at you!

Charizard just breezed through all the activities. We just overcame everything. Wet, dry, endurance, confusion, tired legs, diziness. Wooh, we just overcame everything as a team.

We damn pro one... Agree agree?

After dinner we had to perform a skit. The theme was 'Chemistry'. Chemistry. And what did our empire think of? A Pokemon Battle.

Yes, a Pokemon Battle. (Say what?)

The skit was about Ash falling in love with Misty. So yeah, you can see where the chemistry fits in. There was Ash, Misty, Team Rocket, and an assortment of different Pokemon. I was Pidgey, but I think the favourite was PSYDUCK. "SAI SAI SAI SAI!"

So we performed the skit! And we won first prize! Woohoo!

But all empires were winners no matter what. (No I am not trying to be diplomatic)

The I-Guides camp was great. It was great. It was heart-warming to know that we touched our FAs hearts.

Okairinasai Ojou-sama!

Training to be a butler because I'm planning to sign up for the next AFA's butler cafe, if there is one.

Good evening everyone, here's another fabulous post by me.
I know my posts have not been consistent, but I promise to TRY to be consistent from this post on.

Okay first, I am going to talk about Anime Festival Asia X, which was held on the 12th to the 14th of November. Its a long past due post I was supposed to do. Two weeks late, sorry.

I went to AFAX on the last day, 14th November, which is also the most happening day. Celebrities like SCANDAL, May'n, Kaname, Aira, Angela were there. My friend went crazy when SCANDAL appeared to judge the finals of the Anime Song competition.
The cameras were pointing at SCANDAL more than the contestants.
The irony.

That's SCANDAL there, and Tomomi is looking in the camera!

There were other stuff there too, like the Moe Moe Kyun Maid Cafe! Ahhh, when I entered, it was like heaven! Girls all around you, serving you, blessing your food before you dig in! I wish I could bring one home!
Of course, there was a Royal Aletier Butler Cafe. Never went in there. Guys weren't good-looking either.

We had to pay $5 for a picture with a maid. Heres me and Hao Jian with a maid named Riiyo.

In every conventions like these, there's always cosplayers and there were cosplayer. They were everywhere. They were at the center of attraction with camera flashes surrounding them.

It would be cooler if she had a bass guitar with her.

Then there was the I Love Anisong Concert. A concert where the Japanese artists performed. According to my pal, it was fantastic! Over 3 hours of ROCK!
It was a shame I couldn't attend, the ticket price were really costly.

There were other events and booths. The booths sold anime figurines, merchandise, showcases, art displays, anything anime! The events were like cosplay contests, oh you know, stuff like that.

I really want to try out for their butler cafe. Make girls drool over me, just kidding! Haha! AFAX was fun, I will go for next year's festival. Too bad they didn't have Japanese food there. Probably because it wasn't a cultural festival

All good things must come to an end. We really enjoyed ourselves

Recently, been doing alot of mountain biking.
It's good exercize, all those cycling uphill and downhill. Thrashing through dirt, splashing through mud, pedalling over rocks.
It really pushes you to the limits, and surpasses it.

Another thing I like about mountain biking is that, eventhough we're cycling through nature, we still respect it. We make sure we are always on existing tracks, not going off them, or creating new ones. It is so that we don't damage what's natural.

You're so close to nature when you're mountain biking. It's like, plants are your best friend. Lying on grass isn't a problem. Honestly, I don't think you'd lie on the grass that's surrounding the HDB flats.

There's also the thrill of overcoming obstacles and thrashing through it.

Cycling is also a great way to bond with friends, and make new friends. In between cycling through trails, we sit down amongst nature and just relax and catch up.

Sneaking Into Design School

I must say, Design school really has some tight security.

Was overseas for 4 days. Had camp at... wait guess where.

But I admit being in the wild once in a while is good for a person. Especially a person like me. Which nearest experience to "wild" is East Coast Park.

I feel like typing down every single thing I did on this post, but its so tiring!

Maybe I'll just tell you about the last day, (day 3).

Woke up to SANDFLY BITES! ITCHY!

Had a trek through a rubber plantation.
The night seemed like a chalet gathering, lots of alumni joined us at night. Lots of laughs, slacking, the rigid camp schedules were dropped just for that night. Oh there was a night walk. Bah.

Slept at 5am I think. The stars were pretty, I saw the constellation Orion.

I went home the next day at 8am. Wooh tiring.

But I really learnt alot from that camp.
NO I'm not going to tell you what I learnt. Its gonna be like debrief again. And debreifs are, DRYY!

I'll stop here for now. Let me enjoy civilization for a while.

Project: Introduction

I'm engaging myself in my own project,

To create a story, done in comic (or manga) form.

So the story is about the adventures of three siblings: 2 princes and a princess.

After the Mighty Lord-Emperor (name subject to change) was usurped from his throne, he was exiled from his own Empire along with his 3 children.

In their exile, the old Emperor taught his children the ways of combat, magic and lore, in hopes that one day, his children would restore their father's empire to its former glory.

Soon the old emperor grew sick, and on the emperors death-bed, he told his children that they were ready to return to the empire, and save it from ruin.

But he told them that they could not do it alone. The dying emperor told their children that there are certain people and individuals, that would fight by their side if his children were to call for their aid.

The emperors parting gifts were: 1 large broad-sword, a legendary shield, a longsword and a tome of spells. These were to be given to his children.

So passes the Mighty Lord-Emperor of old.

News of 3 wandering warriors reached the ears of the Soulless Queen. Tales of magnificent spells engulfing multiple men, a mighty shield making them seemingly invulnerable and a great sword, cutting through ranks of soldiers.

"Who are they?" Was the only question that fills the Queen's thoughts. She did not have to inquire further. The 3 fabled warriors appeared at the palace doors, and the Queen knew now who they were.

The sons and daughter of the True Emperor she betrayed.

The Old Emperor's children knew very well they cannot win the battle at the Queen's dark palace. But that was not their intent. They came to relay a message. A threat.
One day the Soulless Queen shall be defeated. Her old enemies avenged. The fall of her dark reign and the coming of justice across the Empire.

The 3 warriors left the Dark Palace with their intentions fulfilled. To warn the Queen of their coming.
Of course the Soulless Queen would not take this likely. She would send out armies, assassins and demons to stop the 3 warriors.
But the 3 warriors will be ready. Armed with the sword, shield and the tome, along with some allies, they were ready to take on what ever comes between their way and their rightful thrones.

So uh, there it is, just a tiny gist of what the story is gonna be like. I know, revealing themselves to the Queen is stupid and all, I'm still working on it.

So far, I have only come out of the names for the 3 warriors

Eldest Brother: Amador (Tome) (Might change name)
Middle Sister: Sylvia (Shield)
Youngest Brother: Regis Meirion (Sword) (Might change name, looking for something they can call out during a battle. Imagine "REGIS! BEHIND YOU!")

I base their weapons on their personality type. The eldest brother gets the Tome because he is supposed to be eldest and wisest.
The sister gets the shield as she will be portrayed as loving and protective sister.
The youngest brother gets the sword because his personality is rash and impatient.

So thats all for the first part of my story. Off to write more. And maybe draw up a few concepts.
Its going to be had for me to do this alone. So I'lll welcome any help I can get.

I should blog about this before I forget.

Like the title stated, I had a weird, but really nice dream.

It was my birthday, and I had school.
Apparently no one was free to pick me up to send me to my own party, so my dad asked a friend of his to pick me up, a dear friend. Guess who that friend was.

Anil Kapoor.

You know that Bollywood actor, the host for Who Wants to be a Millionaire in Slumdog Millionaire.

Yeah, that guy.

So he picked me up in my own car. I told him I could drive, but he said, teenagers always say that, but they are reckless behind the wheel. So we had a conversation throughout the drive.

I asked him, how a star like him could be close friends with my father. He said, my father got lost in some airport, he was there and he helped my father out.
Ever since then, somehow, they became close friends.

My father, and Anil Kapoor, can you believe it? It's only a dream anyway

When we neared the party location, I told Anil to stay for the party, but he said he was on a tight schedule. I told him he'd definitely liven up the mood, and that my grandparents would really enjoy meeting a Bollywood star. So he agreed.

So he attended the party, and I got loads of presents, a cake. Throughout the whole day, Anil was there, like some bestfriend. He talked to everyone.

Then Anil got a call, he told me that he had to rush to the hospital, his wife was giving birth, so, I wished he could stay, but he really had to go.

I think he apologized for not giving me a present. He told me he'll hang out with me one day. With that, he rushed down to wherever hospital his wife was at.

And my dream ended

Honestly, for me, it is very slacked! People around me are rushing to get assignments done.

Today, I went for Experiential Learning something something... It's a CCA.
It was so fun, you know, camp games and all. Met new friends! Then there's Ultimate Frisbee. I really want to get into that. Game actually is more fun when you're playing and not spectating.

On Friday, there's the CCN Fair for TP. It's a fund-raiser fair for the needy students in TP. Starts at 11am, it lasts the whole day. Be there! Buy from 1B13! That's my class. On the night of that Friday, there's Jam an Hop. Party and all, I should be attending.

Poly friends are awesim. Loverly.

Yeah so, just a update on what has been going on with my life. Interesting eh?

But,
I do miss my old friends. I want to meet them, but, you know, we're all busy with our new schools and all that.

I know some of you can't stand this but, I just have to blog about this!

Okay first up we have, Kaicho Wa Maid-sama!
Interesting romance anime. Highly anticipated even before it premiered. (Well, thats what my friend told me.)
Heres what the plot is basically about. It's about this female student council leader of her school, Misaki Ayuzawa who hates guys so much, and biased towards girls. She works in a maid restaurant to make ends meet for her family. So hottest guy in her school, Takumi Usui, found her interesting, different from the other girls in their school.
You guys can kinda, expect what's gonna happen next. (Oh you know, love blossoms).

Next up we have: K-ON!
A unique music anime, about a group of friends who decided to form a rock band, to try to make it big.
The second season of K-ON! was just aired last Wednesday. The first season was really succesful, really popular and all. So I think its safe to say that season 2 would be as good as, or even better than season 1!
Should give it a shot, especially for those who love music.

Only 2 Animes? I was planning on doing 3.

So here's the third one,

Title: Heroman

Awesim anime there for younger children and non-hardcore anime fans. Its set in the USA. Its about a boy, whos not that wealthy but that doesn't stop him from dreaming big. So the little boy, found a beat-up robot toy in a trash can. Being rather poor, he didn't had many toys, so he brought the robot back and fixed it up.
Suddenly a lightning strike hit the the robot and somehow the robot became gigantic and came to life.
So the rest of the anime is about the boy and the robot fighting to protect humankind from aliens.
Produced and directed by animation company BONES, it's expected to be one of the better animes this season, with BONES having the reputation for creating animating like, Bonen no Xamd', Fullmetal Alchemist and Halo Legends.
So give it a shot, Heroman.

Thats 3 pretty cool animes to check out when you're bored. If you new to anime and stuff, you should start off with K-ON, it'll spark off the love for anime in you. I guarantee that!

My school is going to start really soon.
Am I prepared?

We got a 5 month vacation, and my mind is still glued on having fun in the sun. (Although I didn't really go out for 3 days.)

Poly is supposed to be the highlight of our teenage lives: Friends, Relationships and stuff. Don't even know how I'm supposed to study there.

I'll tell you guys one thing, everyone would be looking for a relationship. It's like you know, fresh set of people, for you to try to hit on. Well majority of the people entering Poly will be that way. I think.
Because everyone I know is excited to date Poly chicks.

Anyone noticed the new, sorta, trend yet? Everyone's buying bicycles. Or maybe it's just in Tampines and Pasir Ris. I don't know. My dad's one of them, looks like he's trying to become those professional road bikers. You just gotta see all the cycling equipment he bought.

He told me in Malay: "Son, one day, when I have the money and can afford it, I want you and your brothers to pick up professional cycling."
Wow. Haha, I don't mind seriously.

Thursday equals to movie day with Chee Kia, Hao Jian, and Daryl. Still deciding what to watch. We decided to catch the morning show, to avoid swarming school children in the afternoon.

Hey, I'm gonna blog some Star Wars related stuff now. I know some people can't take it, so if you're one of them, just ignore this post arite? But everyone's welcome to read it.

You know in the Star Wars galaxy, the Sith (evil force-users), always seem to be the stronger ones, always conquering and killing.

But I do not believe that the Dark Side of the Force is stronger. You see, throughout Star Wars history there were several Sithly empires and cults. Yes they might have brought chaos to the galaxy, but they were always defeated by the Light Side, no matter what. The Sith also never had total control over the galaxy, with the exception of Darth Sidious' Galactic Empire, he ruled the galaxy legally. (Count on the Skywalker family to put down the Dark Side)

So what does this show? This shows that the Dark Side is obviously weaker than the Light Side, look at how many times the Dark Side has tried and failed to conquer the vast Star Wars galaxy.

Hey all.

And I would like to share my views on commitment, at our age (like teenagers). Like, commitments to each other kind of commitment.

According to Dictionary.com, a reliable dictionary website, the definition of commitment is a pledge, or a promise, an obligation. So it sounds like when you commit yourself to someone, you have to be there for that person no matter what. Seems like your freedom is gone, and you're under a leash. Or trapped in a cage.

I hear lots of couples our age, complaining and breaking up because they can't commit themselves to each other. Well OBVIOUSLY at our age you can't commit yourself to anyone yet. Then why talk about all these commitment nonsense. Some of us can't even commit ourselves to studies, *ahem*, let alone their boy/girlfriends.

I'm not against dating and getting attached at our age, (I myself had a few, and still interested in being in one). But isn't knowing that both of you like each other enough? Like, (from guys point of view) meet up with her, spend time with her, and look forward to your next meeting with her. Not like, be with her 24/7. Wouldn't that be boring? Give her space too, for her own life, for her friends.

Commitment is like you're owning each other's life, you can control them, you expect them to be there for you no matter what. I don't think we can do that at our age right now.

But this is my point of view, coming from a single dude, maybe, people in a relationship might have other views. Or other normal people might have their own take on this matter. I welcome arguments. I'm not saying that this point of view is correct. Maybe you have a better one.

Hey,
I think I'll show you what me and my pals have been working on. Me, Hao Jian, Chee Kia and Daryl, have been trying to make a manga aka graphic novel. Hao Jian is still doing the story, its taking him ages and me and Chee Kia we've been drawing up concepts like psychos.

I have around 2 months left of so called 'holidays'.

And,
I'm looking through lists of job ads. There are alot of words. I'm going to do walk-ins very soon. Maybe tomorrow.

I bought a new shirt. Levi's, and it's really hot. I never buy anything unless I REALLY love it. There are times where I come back empty-handed from 8 hours of 'shopping'. I'm really choosy when it comes to clothes.

My mind is empty right now. It's working but its empty. I'm still thinking but its empty. There's a mystical bond between your Mind and your Heart. Maybe my heart is empty right now, therefore my mind is too.

Once upon a time, there was this blender.

He was new, fresh out of the manufacturing line. As a blender he loved to blend, but he doesn't know how. He sees his senior happily blending away in the testing rooms. Oh how he longed to blend something.

In this story, Blenders can think, speak and move.

Blend, was the result of his senior's tests. Blend was supposed to be the next generation blender, with extra turbulent blades. Blend did not know that, and he did not know that he and his pals were only set to be released next Summer. It was Spring.

So Blend and his pals were to be stored in a store for about a year. That is what the manufacturer had planned out for the blenders. But Blend, had other plans...

Dizzy Day Out

Yesterday was Monday.
And I think I was only home for 2 hours on Monday, after I woke up.
Like I said in my previous post, I went shopping with Daryl-tan, but I didn't buy anything in the end.
BOOHOO.

After giving up on shopping, I went to the swimming pool to... sit.
HAHA!
I didn't come prepared.

And at night was like, camping. My uncle for got his portable grill. So we made a real-life CAMPFIRE!
I was still roasting my first chicken when the rest had already finished eating they're second.

I'm leaving Singapore tomorrow (Wednesday). A four-day trip, I'll be back on Saturday. Might come back on Friday.

Saturday.

I was supposed to go camping with my family but I didn't feel like it.

Yesterday was like,
Friday.
And I went ice-skating with Akid and pals.
There were girls there, I think I made someone jealous.
I thought I was pretty good at ice-skating. It's like inline skating, on ICE! I thought I did pretty well, and my worst fall was me falling flat on my face. OWW? And I got her number? *winks.
Heheh.

I'm going shopping with Daryl on Monday. Not telling everyone what I'm gonna buy.

I'm so glad I didn't waste today.
Been at home for a while. Everyone seems to be working. No one is free.
I'll be busy next year too, because work starts on January next year.

Went to the gym with Akid today.
And at the gym, this buff idiot person kept staring at us.

After the gym, we headed over to Burger King for lunch. You know, to replace lost calories.
And at BK, I kept looking at the girls beside us.

I am so anti-online relationships. I think they're for really desperate individuals who can't get attached in real life. Because online, they can pretend to be somebody they're not. I think it's really pathetic, I mean like, you've never met this person and you want to be his girlfriend? These people, they usually turn out to be nerds and geeks with horrible teeth in real life. Mom went on a 2-day trip without us.
I think she deserved the time off from all the work shes been doing.

I think Fred on Youtube is a loner? Celebs like Lisa Nova and Shane Dawson have really close ties with each other. I don't see any Fred videos with Kassem G or Kevin Jumba. Oh and try watching one of his videos and muting the audio. It's like watching a sad handicapped teenager with severe face spasms.

I don't think Fred will sue me for this because he gets all this from everyone evertime.

I'm thinking of opening a blog shop. Or at least a shop online. I wanna sell sculptures. You know... Those tiny miniatures of things like soldiers or aeroplanes. I think I'm going to sell them for about $300. Yes I know not everyone will be able to afford to afford it.

The new Hansaplast bandage plasters are sooo difficult to tear open?
My toe was bleeding yesterday so I went to Guardian to get some band-aids. I bought the Hansaplast 'Antiseptic' plasters. They came in this new hi-tech packaging which was a PAIN to rip open! My toe was... BLEEDING and I had to put up with the stupid double-layered packaging.
I mean...
Who the hell uses two layers of cardboard packaging for a box of plasters?

What if it was an emergency? I think the victim would've probably already bled to death and thank you Hansaplast for killing him!

Second Gibberish

Greetings,

Its time for the next lesson on Gibberish!

Today we are going to learn greetings!

Dr Chee Kia and I deciphered Giiburoishu greetings from the before-mentioned paragraph carved on the cavern walls.

The paragraph started with a 'Bof Sonnen' which translates as 'Good Morning' 'Good day'. 'Bof' translates as 'Good' in Giiburoishu and 'Sonnen' translates as 'Sun' in German. This is a clear example of what I meant by European influence.

As we read on, we stumbled across some sentences we couldn't decipher for it was too unclear. But we managed to decipher what came after the sentences. It read "...the seal will open after the seventh eclipse of the red moon." What 'seal', and what did it meant by 'the seventh eclipse'?
We found out that occasionally the Moon glows red due to it reflecting light from the planet Mars, which reflected light from the sun. Dr Chee Kia did a bit of research and found out that there were several 'red moons' and 6 recorded lunar eclipses on the red moons.

Which means, the seventh eclipse is coming.
And it will bring something with it.

Back to lessons. We found out that in Giiburoishu, 'Mond' translates and 'moon' in German, again you can see the European references.
Assuming Giiburoishu uses the sun and the moon to show day and night, we can say that 'Bof Mond' translates as 'Good evening' or 'Good night' depending on how it is used, or what time of night it is used.

In a Nutshell:

Bof Sonnen= Good Morning/Day
Bof Mond= Good evening/night

Bof= Good(though, there might be other words for good in Gibberish)
Sonnen= Sun
Mond= Moon.

That concludes the lesson for today.
